The engineering design and development department at AWP works closely with customers on individual solutions and their performance requirements. For a special project of one of our most important customers our engineers designed a sight glass in DN 250, the biggest diameter for this product group so far which will also be introduced to our standard product range shortly.
Sight glasses are needed to ensure the continous monitoring of the liquid levels in refrigeration systems. So far the largest sight glass ever produced by AWP had a diameter of DN 100 – not enough for our customer’s project. Something bigger was needed. Another challenge was the material that these items had to be manufactured of: everything had to be made of stainless steel.
