To open and close the pipe the ball valve mechanism uses a bored through ball which is rotated horizontally by 90° in relation to the flow direction.

KVplus Ball Valves

AWP ball valves are designed for installation in industrial heating and refrigeration systems. The closing device is a bored through ball that opens and closes the pipe by horizontal rotation in relation to the flow direction. The 90° rotation is exerted via the shaft and is either by a hand-operated lever or by electric or pneumatic actuators. KVplus ball valves have a reduced bore. The ball has a pressure relief hole and therefore only seals tightly in the direction of flow.
