UVU Overflow Valves

Overflow valves independent from back pressure, spring loaded.

AWP’s overflow valves are designed to be useed as relief valves in the refrigerant circulation of industrial refrigerating plants. Overflow valves are safety devices for protecting the refrigerating system or its components from excess pressure (see also DIN 8975 part 7). They open independently from back pressure and close completely within a pressure drop of 10 % below the set reponse pressure. They comply with the technical regulations of the German Technical Control Board (TÜV).

  • Available in steel or stainless steel
  • Selection of body material as per German DIN EN12284, AD2000 Series W
  • Working mediums: refrigerants as per EN 378 p. 1, e. g. NH3, R134a, R290 (propane), R507 and blends with refrigerator oil; neutral, gaseous and liquid mediums, glycol-based cold brine
  • Installation position: vertical and horizontal
  • Available valve seat seals:
UVUA: PTFE seal, can be used at temperatures of -60 °C to +180 °C
